Job TitleDirector, Global Tax Operations (HYBRID REMOTE - New England) Location(s)US Remote - CT, US Remote - MA, US Remote - ME, US Remote - NH, US Remote - NYC, US Remote - RI The Director of Global Tax Operations is responsible for overseeing PerkinElmer’s worldwide tax compliance, reporting, and operational processes reporting directly in the Global Head of Tax. This role ensures the organization meets all global tax obligations efficiently while driving process improvements, risk management, and strategic alignment with the broader finance function. The Director partners with transfer pricing, finance, treasury, and external advisors to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant tax filings and reporting across multiple jurisdictions. Location: Predominantly remote with travel 1-2 times per month to Woburn MA for meetings. Must be commutable to the Woburn, MA office approximately 2x per month. Responsibilities · Lead and manage global tax compliance processes, including income tax, indirect tax, and local/municipal taxes across all jurisdictions. · Oversee tax accounting and reporting under U.S. GAAP/IFRS, including quarterly and annual provisions, FIN 48 reserves, and effective tax rate analysis. · Direct the development and maintenance of global tax policies, controls, and governance frameworks to ensure SOX compliance and mitigate risk. · Partner with FP&A and controllership teams to align tax planning and forecasting with business objectives. · Manage relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and governmental authorities worldwide. · Drive process improvements and automation within tax operations to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. · Support global M&A transactions, restructurings, and cross-border initiatives from an operational tax perspective. · Assist in identifying and executing tax planning and cash mobility opportunities. · Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global tax operations team. Basic Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, JD, or advanced tax degree preferred. · 10+ years of progressive tax experience in multinational corporations and/or Big Four public accounting. · Strong technical expertise in U.S. GAAP/IFRS tax accounting, global tax compliance, and reporting. · Demonstrated experience managing cross-border tax operations and multi-jurisdictional compliance. · Proficient in various tax and non-tax technologies such as SAP, indirect tax determination (e.g. SOVOS), OneSource Tax Provision, Power-Bi, SharePoint, etc. · Proven track-record building processes, policies and controls. · Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage global teams (5+ FTEs) and influence senior stakeholders. · Strong analytical, process improvement, and project management capabilities. · Excellent communication and executive presentation skills. Preferred Characteristics · Private equity portfolio company experience · Experience working in the manufacturing industry The annual compensation range for this full-time position is $180,000 to $ 230,000. The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors including internal equity, work location, as well as individual qualifications, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
