Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our fast-paced warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, to load, unload, move, and organize materials within the warehouse. Your expertise in warehouse distribution and materials handling will ensure smooth operations, accurate order picking, and timely shipping and receiving processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a well-organized logistics environment while utilizing your mechanical knowledge and heavy equipment operation skills. Responsibilities • Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, and other heavy equipment to load and unload materials with precision. • Conduct thorough inspections of equipment before use to ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards. • Manage order picking using RF scanners and warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders accurately. • Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and materials handling. • Assist with shipping & receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation. • Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform routine maintenance checks. • Support warehouse management by maintaining organized storage areas, ensuring proper pallet stacking, and optimizing space utilization. Experience • Proven experience in warehouse distribution or similar logistics environments with a focus on heavy equipment operation. • Prior experience as an order picker or in materials handling roles using RF scanners and warehouse management systems. • Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, cranes, and other heavy machinery safely and effectively. • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use. • Experience in shipping & receiving processes within a construction or industrial setting is preferred. • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting on heavy equipment. • Warehouse supervisor experience or familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
