A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required, along with at least one year of experience as an intern or practicing attorney. Candidates must be VA-accredited or willing to obtain accreditation prior to starting.

Job Overview As an Associate Attorney at Outreach Legal, you will have the opportunity to grow your legal career in a supportive and challenging environment. This role offers exposure to a wide range of legal matters yet will have a focus on VA Claim Appeals. This role provides hands-on experience that will contribute to your professional development. You will work closely with experienced attorneys while building a legal company from the ground up. This person will work remotely in Eastern Time. Responsibilities Conduct legal research, interpret, and analysis on Federal laws and rulings by the US Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Review adjudications by the Department of Veterans Affairs. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal briefs. Assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures. Provide legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on a wide range of matters. Support litigation efforts, including case management and preparation for hearings and trials. Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the company's operations. Make decisions on the best path forward for clients. Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed. Qualifications Authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. At least one (1) year of experience as an Intern or practicing attorney with active license. Must be VA-accredited OR willing to obtain accreditation prior to starting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
