Responsibilities Peraton is seeking an experienced Azure Software Engineer to work on the design and development of an appllications moderinzation (COBOL to Java) and migration to the CLoud (Azure) that supports a DoD Customer. As a key member of our agile team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining front-end and back-end components, APIs, and scalable cloud solutions. This role requires a collaborative, customer-focused engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and is committed to delivering high-quality solutions and continuous improvement. • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization. • Design and develop web applications, APIs, and user interfaces using Azure services, Java, JavaScript, and Oracle databases. • Conduct requirements analysis, software design, development, testing, and debugging of custom solutions. • Implement CI/CD pipelines to enable automated deployments to Azure. • Document technical specifications. • Partner with cross-functional teams to leverage platform capabilities, templates, and improve application performance. • Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers. • Actively contribute to agile development processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. • Manage diverse tasks, including both small projects and development assignments. • Other responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Required Qualifications: • 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD • US Citizenhip Required • Ability to obtain a Public Trust • Experience developing software applications on Azure • Strong experience with Maven • Experience with Oracle Databases • Very Strong Java skills and experience required • Experience with program languages and tools/technologies including GitLab, Selenium, IntelliJ, JUnit, utPLSQL, GitLab Windows Shell Runner and GitLabs Kubernetes Runner • Experience in designing, implementing and consuming CI/CD Pipelines • Demonstrated experience building and implementing APIs on Azure • Experience building, troubleshooting, and supporting enterprise applications while maintaining 24/7 availability • Active Azure Certified Developer - Associate or Azure Solution Architect – Associate Certification Peraton Overview Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Target Salary Range $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
