Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sanitation Worker to join our team. The Sanitation Worker is responsible for the safe and effective disassembly, cleaning, sanitizing, and reassembly of food processing machinery, as well as completing other facility cleaning needs. This position ensures compliance with all food safety, worker safety, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements. Successful performance in this role helps maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, product integrity, and operational efficiency. • Shifts: 1st 4:00am- 12:30pm 2nd 12:00pm- 8:30pm 3rd 8:00pm- 4:30am • Monday - Friday (Some Weekends) OT as needed • Pay rate: $18/hr • Temporary #PFE Responsibilities • Follow all safety, GMP, and food safety rules and maintain clean, hazard-free work areas. • Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble food processing equipment according to SSOPs. • Perform pre-cleaning inspections and complete required sanitation and HACCP documentation. • Clean facility areas (inside and outside), including equipment, floors, common areas, waste areas, and wastewater building. • Complete tasks on the master cleaning schedule and follow up on safety/food safety action items. • Use proper PPE and ensure it is in good working condition. • Remove garbage, sweep, vacuum, operate floor scrubbers, conduct oil recovery tasks, and assist with pest control (no chemical handling). • Notify supervisors of safety, quality, or product integrity concerns. • Complete all required paperwork accurately. • Assist with production as needed, secure the facility, check railcar seals, operate crystallizers, and perform tank inventory. • Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience. • 2 or more years of sanitation experience preferred. • Ability to learn and safely operate production equipment for cleaning. • Ability to read/write clearly and understand SDS, chemical labels, and sanitation documents. • Basic math skills, including rates and ratios. • Ability to follow defined operating and cleaning procedures to maintain product quality and safety.
