Full Description

Working under the general supervision of the Sr. Director of Intake operations, this position is responsible to provide strategic leadership and direction to the Intake Operations department for emerging lines of business. Responsibilities include ensuring all aspects of the department are completed in a manner and timeframe consistent with company standards. Routinely reviews internal and external factors that affecting the business and adapts accordingly. Essential Job Duties: • Partners with internal and external customers to meet business and patient needs. Must be proactive and collaborative in developing solutions to new and existing business ventures. Responsible for monitoring work inputs and outputs on a day-to-day and trending basis; meets existing business demands and proactively adjusts to anticipated internal or external changes. • Oversees the daily operations of the team. Provides practical assistance and support to team members for complex and challenging situations. Responsible for overseeing the processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness are attained and best practices are promoted. • Regularly reviews work production to identify and assess the technical knowledge of the team members; provides training (individual and group settings), effective coaching and makes use of internal and external resources to resolve gaps in knowledge, expertise, competencies and skillsets (e.g. systems, internal processes, payer guidelines, regulatory requirements, soft skills). • Proactively designs and recommends modifications to organizational structure and work assignments with the objective to improve operations performance, improve financial outcomes, and achieve corporate and departmental objectives. Where applicable, implements methods to track outcomes and returns on investment. • Routinely analyzes data and provides communication to internal and external constituents (including but not limited to field sales, field clinical personnel, physician offices, patients, caregivers) to coordinate aspects related to the care and support of patient services. Includes travel to locations to meet with physicians, nursing staff and other practice employees to successfully coordinate new and existing business. • In-depth industry knowledge, including but not limited to healthcare payors, changing requirements (e.g. authorizations, billing, and reimbursement); sources and attends training sessions as needed to maintain knowledge. Ideal Candidate Will Have: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Two to five years of experience in a healthcare provider environment. • Comprehensive knowledge of coding, modifiers & reimbursement, particularly with government payors. • Demonstrated leadership qualities to motivate and empower team members. • Excellent communication and presentations skills to assure local and remote teams are working cohesively. • Ability to interact with all levels of employees, including external customers, internal sales personnel and health benefit carriers. • Intermediate to advanced abilities with MS Excel, Word; Experience with CPR+. Salary Range: $70,000.00 Annual Pentec Health offers a comprehensive compensation and full benefits package. Actual pay will be based on several factors such as qualifications and skills for the role plus geographic location.
