Full Description

The Tax Associate ensures accurate and timely tax withholding and reporting of federal, state, and local taxes. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Tax Return Preparation and Filing: Preparing and reviewing tax returns (sales tax, use tax, etc.) for accuracy and timely submission. Tax Compliance: Ensuring the company complies with all applicable federal, state, and local tax laws and regulation. Reporting and Documentation: Preparing reports, schedules, and other documentation related to tax compliance. Tax Research and Analysis: Researching and analyzing tax issues, including tax law changes, to identify potential impacts and opportunities. Financial Data Analysis: Analyzing financial data to identify tax liabilities, risks and potential tax savings. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other departments (finance, legal, and operations) and external advisors. Tax Audits and Notices: Assisting and resolving with tax audits and notices. Process improvements: Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance tax compliance and efficiency.
