Penn Medicine has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced professional to join our corporate leadership team as Vice President of Corporate Supply Chain to lead the continued evolution and modernization of Penn Medicine’s Supply Chain function as our organization continues to grow. The Vice President reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer, UPHS, to provide leadership and oversight of end-to-end Supply Chain, including strategic sourcing, purchasing, recall management, logistics/distribution, value management, warehousing and analytics for the entire health system. This role includes centralized oversight of these functions for all supplies and devices, capital purchasing, pharmaceutical contracting and purchased services, with Materials Management teams located in our various facilities. In the key leadership role, you will develop and implement opportunities to create financial value across the health system, forming strategic relationships internally and externally and leading the development of short- and long-term strategies in line with Penn Medicine's overall strategy, to translate into actionable initiatives to achieve results. As the face of Supply Chain, you will ensure broader organizational support around identified goals, strategies, budgets and metrics associated with Supply Chain. You will also establish contracts across all facilities and lead the integration of the supply chain function across the organization in partnership with management and key leaders (e.g., physicians). As VP, you will lead the development of a robust analytics capability to support data-driven decision-making, performance optimization and continuous improvement across the supply chain. The Vice President will build the talent and capabilities needed to support and carry out supply chain objectives, including selecting, developing and retaining leaders. You will be accountable for fostering a positive organizational culture in daily business, decision-making and performance management. Location: The VP role is primarily remote, with the expectation that the individual resides in the greater Philadelphia area to attend onsite meetings as needed. Requirements: • Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related area of study • Bachelor’s Degree in related area of study • 12+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably within Healthcare or Pharmaceutical sectors • 5+ years in strategic leadership capacity • Preferred: Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification via AHA • Ability to develop strategic plans and present to senior leadership • Ability to explain complex contracts / agreements directly and in easy-to-understand terms • Ability to drive consensus, building trust and pathways for ongoing communication • Understands healthcare finances and can demonstrate understanding to others • Demonstrates respect for multiple points of view and is an active listener We believe that the best care for our patients starts with the best care for our employees.
