Penguin Random House Publishing Services is seeking a Senior Managing Editor to join our team servicing our client Square Enix, home to award-winning and bestselling series such as My Dress-Up Darling and Soul Eater, and the Final Fantasy franchise. The successful candidate will have exceptional project management skills, including the ability to keep a score of titles at various stages of the editorial process organized and in motion, and a strong communication toolbox to ensure editors and freelancers achieve production schedule milestones. Specific Responsibilities Include • Drafts, tracks, and manages seasonal publishing schedules. • Sets and enforces editorial production deadlines, working closely with both in-house staff and freelancers. • Enters and maintains key metadata for all titles in PRH databases and runs weekly production meetings. • Performs other duties as assigned. Please Apply If You Meet The Following Qualifications • At least 7 years of managing editorial experience or project management experience in publishing • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills • Proven ability to build relationships with a professional demeanor, be a reliable point of contact, and manage the tasks of others • Proficiency at Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams) • Familiarity with FileMaker, SAP, InDesign and/or other publishing project management software preferred • Passion for manga/anime, comics, and/or Japanese culture is a plus The salary for this position is $76,500.00.
