Responsibilities The People Information Systems Specialist has a primary focus on implementation, support, and maintenance of the People Information Management System. This role will work closely with other subject matter experts to ensure data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. Analyze, administer, and support people information systems (HRIS), ensuring data accuracy, system reliability, compliance, and timely processing aligned with payroll and business deadlines. Design, configure, and maintain HRIS applications, including system integrations, customizations, setup tables, and documentation to meet evolving organizational needs. Gather and translate key user and business requirements into effective system solutions that improve HR processes, data flow efficiency, and user experience. Troubleshoot system and data issues by identifying root causes and implementing timely, effective resolutions while exercising sound judgment in complex or ambiguous situations. Process employee life‑cycle transactions, including new hires, transfers, terminations, and updates, while maintaining accurate and compliant employee records. Generate standard and ad‑hoc HR reports, compile statistical information, and prepare data narratives to support payroll, recruiting, compensation, training, and workforce analysis. Develop and maintain end‑user documentation, job aids, and training materials; train new users and provide ongoing technical guidance and support.Facilitate and participate in meetings, workshops, and cross‑functional working sessions to drive project goals, system enhancements, and process improvements. Support HR systems and related technology initiatives to ensure human resources operations are executed in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.Partner cross‑functionally with HR, payroll, legal, technology teams, vendors, and customers to support complex programs and deliver scalable solutions. Manage and support multiple projects simultaneously, including system enhancements, new process deployments, and continuous improvement initiatives.Perform system and database administration tasks, including monitoring performance, maintenance, upgrades, and optimization of HR and e‑recruitment platforms. Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for people systems, policies, and procedures, contributing to knowledge sharing and operational excellence. Conduct root cause analysis on escalations, identify gaps or inefficiencies, and recommend data‑driven improvements to enhance compliance, quality, and the employee experience. Collaborate with lead or senior analysts on special projects. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or equivalent) from an accredited four‑year college or university or one to two years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience 5+ years of experience implementing, administering, and maintaining: People Information Management Systems (HRIS), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Human Resources Operating Systems (HROS) Knowledge & Skills Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and develop effective solutions related to HR technology Strong drive to improve workflow efficiency and productivity through technology Willingness and ability to learn, adopt, and train others on new systems and tools Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Results‑driven mindset with a strong focus on client and stakeholder needs Ability to build effective, collaborative working relationships across teams Versatility and flexibility with changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Software & Technical Proficiency Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Experience working with HR information systems Skilled in report writing and data analysis tools Benefits and Compensation Take great care of the patient, every day and every way.TM At Pediatrix & Obstetrix, that’s not only our motto at work each day; it’s also how we view our employees and their families.
