This individual is an exceptional communicator, anticipatory planner, and process-driven operator who strengthens policies, modernizes systems, and maximizes resources. They will mentor emerging leaders, ensure operational excellence, and work effectively with a largely new City Council. California public-sector experience is preferred, but highly capable candidates from other regions will be considered. Above all, Vallejo seeks a Finance Director passionate about public service and dedicated to shaping a stronger, more resilient financial future for the City. The salary range for this outstanding opportunity is $179,950.37 - $218,730.93. Placement within this range is dependent upon qualifications.
