Headquartered in Silicon Valley, our team is distributed across the U.S. Join us in solving our clients’ biggest payment challenges.Job DescriptionWe’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution of our next-generation money movement platform. You’ll own the systems that power how money flows through our ecosystem — with a focus on settlement, reconciliation, funding orchestration, and general ledger integrations.In this role, you’ll be at the center of our financial infrastructure, working across product, engineering, compliance, and accounting teams to build scalable, reliable payment systems. You’ll drive execution across multiple payment rails and funding sources, ensuring operational accuracy, compliance, and performance at scale.We’re seeking someone with deep experience in the payments ecosystem, particularly in bill pay, money movement, financial reconciliation, and funding mechanics. You should have a strong understanding of how different funding types operate — including bank debits (ACH, RTP, wires), card-based funding, digital wallets, and alternative funding methods. You’ll bring expertise in managing liquidity, funding source verification, cutoff windows, transaction routing, and exception handling. Familiarity with concepts like prefunding, sweep accounts, and funds availability will be key to ensuring efficient and resilient money flows.You should be equally comfortable diving into backend systems, managing cross-functional roadmaps, and defining strategic product direction. This is a high-impact role where you’ll help shape the future of how we move, fund, and track money — and unlock new capabilities for the business as we scale.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the end-to-end strategy for the money movement general ledgering systems — ensuring funds flow accurately and are accounted for across internal platforms, with support for a variety of funding and disbursement methods.Define and prioritize product requirements across key areas like settlement timing, transaction visibility, reconciliation tooling, error handling and disbursement processingDemonstrate a strong understanding of the ACH ecosystem, including file formatting (NACHA), processing windows, risk and return codes, timing cutoffs and workflowsLead product capabilities that support diverse funding methods, including ACH debits and credits, card-based transactions, digital wallets, and real-time disbursement networksCommunicate the product development roadmap across agile teams and stakeholders, while defining and documenting user stories that clearly guide technical requirements and implementation across both existing systems and new platform initiativesOwn the organization of the backlog, working proactively and collaboratively with Engineering management to ensure proper prioritization and capacity planningLead backlog grooming, refinement, and sprint planning sessions to ensure teams are set up for successful deliveryAct as a subject matter expert in funding mechanics and payment infrastructure, bridging business needs with technical implementation by collaborating with internal product teams, engineering, operations, accounting, and compliance partnersWork closely with cross-functional teams to develop products that meet both business goals and customer needs, with a keen focus on how money moves through internal and external networks — including origination, processing, settlement, and disbursement.Conduct market research and monitor evolving industry trends, regulations, and innovations across payment networks and funding technologies to inform strategic product decisions.Collaborate with go-to-market teams to support product launches, documentation, and internal training, ensuring effective rollout of new funding-related features.Qualifications8+ years of product management experience, with a strong focus on money movement, reconciliation, and settlementAn understanding of accounting principles and experience working directly with accounting teamsPayments industry knowledge, including experience with ACH, wire transfers, card settlements, and reconciliation processesStrong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to leverage data in making informed product decisionsExceptional communication and leadership capabilities, with experience guiding development teams and managing cross-functional stakeholder relationshipsMust be detail-oriented, with a commitment to delivering high-quality product documentationIntrinsic curiosity to dive into complex problems and review solutions Working knowledge of JIRA and ConfluenceFamiliarity with accounting processes and financial eventsAdditional InformationBenefitsBase salary per year (paid semi-monthly)Fast- paced and professional work cultureStock options with standard startup vesting - 1 year cliff; 4 years total$50 monthly communication expense stipend to go towards your phone/internet bill$250 stipend to enhance your WFH setupReimbursement for peripheral equipment: monitor (up to $400), keyboard and mouse (up to $200)Premium medical benefits including vision and dental (100% coverage for employees)Company-sponsored life and disability insurancePaid parental bonding leavePaid sick leave, jury duty, bereavement401k planFlexible Time Off (our team members typically take off ~3-4 weeks per year)Volunteer Time Off13 scheduled holidaysSalary Range: $150,000 - 185,000 PayNearMe strives to create a workplace where all employees thrive.
