Come and join us — where payments meet purpose! | What we are looking for The Senior Policy Analyst is responsible for leading and supporting the development of sound strategic policy analysis on business priorities, and challenging and politically sensitive issues. This includes identifying issues, evaluating policy options, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and developing recommendations on matters pertaining to the Canadian Payments Act, regulations and by-laws; the development, modernization and revisions to Payments Canada’s policy frameworks and rules; and other policy related matters arising from the operation of Payments Canada’s clearing and settlement systems. The Policy Analyst will also build and manage internal and external relationships to support sound policy development and effective decision-making toward the achievement of Payments Canada’s objectives and priorities. | A day in the life Responsibilities for this role will include:Policy Analysis & Advice: • Lead policy development, perform analysis, and develop recommendations for Payments Canada’s systems, by-laws, rules, and initiatives. Prepare and deliver accurate reports and briefings for senior management and the Board. Participate in inter-divisional initiatives, proactively identifying issues, risks, and opportunities. Subject Matter Expert: • Develop expertise in the Canadian payments ecosystem and regulatory environment and share knowledge with internal and external audiences. Relationship Management and Industry Engagement: • Build and maintain constructive relationships internally and externally.
