Oversee financial processes including billing, reconciliations, and reporting, while leading a team and implementing system improvements.
Requires 4+ years in finance operations or related fields, supervisory experience, advanced Excel, BI tools, and ERP system knowledge.
PayBright is looking for an experienced Finance Operations Manager to lead a high-performing team and bring structure, accuracy, and scalability to our financial processes. You’ll oversee billing, residuals, reconciliations, collections, and financial reporting with a focus on precision, internal controls, and operational excellence. This role is ideal for someone who loves solving complex data challenges, implementing systems, and improving processes—not just managing them. Key Responsibilities • Oversee all billing, payment processing, merchant residuals, and reconciliation functions. • Ensure daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations are accurate and completed on time. • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Finance Specialists. • Track areas of financial loss or inefficiency and recommend corrective actions. • Conduct profitability reviews and assist leadership with ROI analysis. • Act as the subject matter expert for complex billing issues, financial discrepancies, and data integrity. • Develop SOPs, improve workflows, and strengthen internal controls. • Collaborate with Support, Sales, and Leadership to provide financial insights. • Review and approve vendor invoices, merchant billing, and residual calculations. • Build accurate, data-driven reports to guide strategic decisions. • Lead or participate in system implementations and process-improvement projects. • Oversee in-house collections and escalate appropriately. What This Job Is Not • Not a hands-off, back-office role—you’ll be hands-on in the work and the data daily. • Not just about crunching numbers—you’ll think strategically and improve processes. • Not siloed—you’ll collaborate with Support, Sales, and Leadership frequently. • Not slow or predictable—you’ll manage shifting priorities and tight deadlines. • Not entry-level—requires proven leadership and strong finance operations experience. Requirements • 4+ years in Finance Operations, Accounting Operations, or Controller/AR/AP leadership roles. • 1+ year in a supervisory or team-lead position. • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Power Query required). • Experience with BI tools (Power BI preferred). • Experience implementing or optimizing ERP or finance systems (NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, Dynamics, etc.). • Strong reconciliation experience (two-way and three-way match). • Ability to clean, merge, audit, and validate large datasets (transaction-heavy data). • Proven ability to create SOPs, train teams, and build scalable processes. • Excellent communication skills—clear, concise, and confident. • Strong accuracy mindset with the ability to work quickly without compromising quality. • Typing speed of 50+ WPM. Schedule & Location • Full-time (40 hours per week) • Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend hours as needed • Hybrid schedule (on-site in Raleigh, NC four days per week) Pay: $75,000.00 - $87,500.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid parental leave • Paid time off • Parental leave • Referral program • Vision insurance Work Location: In person
