Job Title: Dental Assistant II $2,000 Retention Bonus Location: Triangle Dentistry: Smith, Tart & Associates Schedule: 4 days/week from 7:15am to 5:00pm Pay: $24-$29/hour We are seeking a motivated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dedicated dental team. As an essential part of our practice, you will play a key role in creating a smooth and comfortable environment for our patients, ensuring high-quality care while supporting the dentist in both clinical and administrative tasks. Requirements & Qualifications North Carolina DAII Requirements listed here - DANB.org - Experience: A minimum of 5 years of dental assisting experience in a clinical setting. - Certification: Dental Assistant Certification (CDA or RDA) is required. Additional certifications such as EFDA (Expanded Function Dental Assistant) or Radiology Certifications are a plus. - Skills & Knowledge: - In-depth knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization methods, and infection control protocols. - Familiarity with dental procedures and treatments. - Understanding of health and safety regulations in a dental office. - Experience with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is highly preferred. - Clinical Competence: Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks, such as coronal polishing, and assist with other dental procedures. - Communication & Patient Care: Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with patients, providing clear instructions and ensuring their comfort. - Organization & Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. - Team-Oriented: Ability to work effectively in a team environment while providing high-quality patient care.
