The Eligibility & Enrollment Processing Assistant provides clerical support services to the Eligibility & Enrollment Department, focusing on data entry related to enrollment and eligibility. This role involves communication with various departments to resolve issues and ensure accurate consumer information management.
A high school diploma or equivalent and two years of administrative support experience are required. Preferred experience includes Medicaid eligibility.

Projected Hiring Range: Depending on Experience Closing Date: Open Until Filled Primary Purpose of Position: This position provides clerical support services to the Eligibility & Enrollment Department. Position will have the primary responsibility for data entry associated with all aspects of enrollment, eligibility, updating of consumer information. The Eligibility & Enrollment Processing Assistant will act as a liaison to other departments within the LME/ MCO and service providers and their support staff and will work in conjunction with all to ensure that all processes and procedures are followed regarding consumer eligibility. Role and Responsibilities: * Communicate on a consistent basis with the Eligibility & Enrollment team, Health Information Management Department, Claims Department, Call Center and service providers regarding corrections and resolution to issues that arise due to eligibility, discharge, and consumer information. * Manage Faxcore incoming faxes from providers, hospitals, medication requests and court ordered evaluations. Disperse fax requests to appropriate staff within the Eligibility & Enrollment Department and other departments as needed. * Coordinate and maintain Enrollments, Update Requests, Benefit Plan changes, Special Project Enrollment Forms, CNDS cross referencing, CNDS provider requests and consumer Discharges. * Maintain an accurate and current Eligibility and Enrollment procedure manual. * Verify departmental staff’s annual and sick leave to the ACCESS calendars. * Assist other departments within Partners with any appropriate requests in order to ensure accuracy of CDW data and verification of NCTracks data. * Verifying all required enrollment data has been collected, is accurate and is enrolled in NCTracks under Partners BHM * Work closely with the Eligibility & Enrollment Supervisor and the Health Information Management unit to resolve discrepancies * Approving and processing enrollments, updates and discharge requests, manual entry of Special Project Enrollment forms. * Attend Eligibility & Enrollment team meetings and other events identified by the Eligibility and Enrollment Manager and/or Eligibility and Enrollment Supervisor. * Compose memorandums, spreadsheets, and reports, as well as the review of written training/education and marketing materials. * Maintain files including but not limited to documents generated from the Eligibility & Enrollment Department and ACCESS department and electronic medical record documents received from providers. * Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Considerable knowledge of office practices, techniques and technology sufficient to support the program * Knowledge of the MH/SU/ IDD system and terminology * Excellent communication and grammar skills utilizing accuracy and attention to detail * Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) * Ability to operate general office equipment (copier, switchboard, postage meter, fax machine) * Ability to gather information and produce reports * Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships * Ability to analyze and interpret policy and procedural guidelines * Ability to organize work flow and coordinate activities * Ability to effectively problem-solve * Ability to recognize sensitive or unusual situations that should be referred to another more appropriate staff member or to the supervisor * Ability to manage and uphold integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data Education/Experience Required: High School graduate or equivalent and two (2) years of administrative support experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Education/Experience Preferred: Experience that includes Medicaid eligibility
