Our "Family Friendly" benefits offer you: • Full coverage health, dental, & vision benefits included, with a second plan available at a shared cost • Pension plan with 6.86% employer match • 403 (b) and 457 plans with immediate participation • Employer PAID life insurance • Generous vacation, holiday, sick and personal leave time • GREAT work environment in a West County location • Promotional opportunities Location: Technology Position: 12 Months (Year-round); 8 Hours Status: Exempt; Band 13 Open: 4/7/2026 Closing Date: 4/14/2026 Starting pay: $77,358 (and up, depending on verifiable experience) Essential Job Functions: The job of Manager of Data Engineering is done for the purpose/s of supervising and participating in the design, maintenance, and troubleshooting enterprise data integration architecture, reporting pipelines across multiple enterprise platforms and data domains, and the development of District business applications; ensuring that workforce, student, and related enterprise data from multiple internal and external sources is accurately acquired, validated, transformed, reconciled, and loaded into systems of record and curated reporting layers; producing reliable outbound extracts and standardized datasets that enable downstream provisioning, analytics, business intelligence, operational workflows, and recurring regulatory/compliance reporting; serving as a technical steward for regulated student/personnel datasets by translating reporting rules into validation, reconciliation, and exception-handling logic; and supervising assigned staff while maintaining direct, hands-on participation in high-impact technical work, critical integrations, operational controls, and reporting cycles through defensible, repeatable processes, documentation, and cross-trained coverage. Experience: Job-related experience within specialized field is required in SQL script development, relational database systems, ETL/ELT and data integration processes, secure system interfaces, and production data environments. Familiarity with Missouri education reporting cycles (e.g. MOSIS/DESE) is preferred. Experience leading, supervising, mentoring, or coordinating technical staff is preferred. Education: Bachelor's degree in job related area with an emphasis in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field. Additional qualifying experience or education may be substituted for required experience or education. Certificates and Licenses: Valid Driver's License (required) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities KNOWLEDGE to perform advanced math; read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions. SKILLS to perform multiple, highly complex, technical tasks with a need to routinely upgrade skills to meet changing job conditions. ABILITY is required to schedule numerous activities, meetings, and/or events; routinely gather, collate, and/or classify data; and consider a variety of factors when using equipment.
