We're Hiring: Program Director at Parkside Community Preschool Application Period: February 11th to 25th Interview Window: February 23rd -27th Start Date: March 2nd Compensation: Based on experience, education, and Oregon Step Registry level Are you a dynamic leader who believes that early childhood education is the heartbeat of a thriving community? Parkside Community Preschool—Lane County’s oldest licensed childcare center—is seeking a Program Director who’s ready to make a long-term commitment to our mission and our families. What You’ll Do: • Lead with heart: Inspire and support a talented team of educators and our beloved cook • Keep the rhythm: Create daily staffing schedules and manage PTO with grace and precision • Be the bridge: Build strong relationships with children, families, and staff • Stay sharp: Monitor training, conduct evaluations, and keep our standards sparkling • Be the eyes and ears: Spend 60% of your time in classrooms offering support, training, and observations • Celebrate often: Organize monthly morale-boosting activities and staff appreciation moments • Keep us growing: Support enrollment, give warm tours, and help families feel right at home • Feed the mission: Oversee USDA compliance and food inventory with our kitchen team • Partner up: Collaborate with the Executive Director to keep our program thriving What You Bring: • A degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) and a Step 9+ in the Oregon Registry • At least 3 years of supervisory experience and 5 years in a certified preschool setting • CPR/First Aid certification, Oregon Food Handler’s card, and enrollment in the Oregon Criminal Background Registry • A deep understanding of child development, a knack for organization, and a love for community Why Parkside?
