JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Verify loan information on the core system aligns with appropriate e-file loan documents for accuracy • Generate and monitor reports, resolve exceptions according to department procedures, and maintain thorough documentation of all decisions. • Maintain up to date knowledge of mortgage loan product characteristics and apply accordingly to identify incorrect information and communicate any mapping, training or operational issues to supervisor. • Accurately interpret and apply applicable government regulations and bank guidelines (RESPA, Reg Z, Homeowners Protection Act, HMDA, HOEPA, Ohio Revised Code, etc.) to all related functions of the position. • Analyze and review retail loan products (mortgage and home equity) according to the corporate compliance checklist and resolve identified exceptions. • Enlist appropriate stakeholders to provide information required to complete the mortgage loan file. • Develop, monitor and assess test plans and report for daily tasks • Maintain awareness of and adherence to Bank’s compliance requirements and risk management concepts, expectations, policies and procedures and apply them to daily tasks • Deliver a consistent, high level of service within our Serving More standards • Other duties as assigned COMPETENCIES • Interpersonal/Customer Service Skills • Written and Verbal Communication • Ability to understand and follow directions • Adaptable to change • Basic Computer Skills • Organizational Skills/Detail Oriented • Problem/Situation Analysis • Ability to influence others • Ability to build collaborative relationships • Ability to work as part of a team • Ability to work independently EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • 2 Years of mortgage experience preferred • High School Diploma or equivalent required TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Occasional travel to headquarters in Newark, Ohio (or Zanesville) for department meetings required. SCHEDULE Typical office hours are Monday-Friday 8a-5p. This position is hourly, non-exempt, and full time. A minimum 37.5 hours is required to maintain eligibility for full-time status. Generally, this position will require 40+ hours per week.
