Position Summary: Reporting to the Director of Compliance, the Compliance Analyst is responsible for ensuring mortgage origination operations remain compliant with regulatory requirements and supporting system enhancements, disclosure updates, and cross-functional initiatives. The Compliance Analyst will interface with internal and external contacts in a professional manner including vendors and internal staff to fulfill requests and obligations. The Compliance Analyst is responsible for change management of the loan origination system (Encompass), including updates to documents and processes and company changes to the LOS. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: · Provides analysis and integration of compliance activities to fulfill the needs of the company and ensure adherence to applicable state and federal regulations. Supports integrated implementation and evaluation of compliance initiatives and ongoing activities. · Collaborate with IT and operations teams to ensure Encompass settings, documents, and disclosures are updated in alignment with regulatory changes and compliance requirements; proactively identify necessary updates and provide detailed guidance to support timely and accurate implementation. · Lead and execute change management testing for system updates, regulatory changes, and process improvements. · Manage updates to Encompass documents and disclosures, ensuring accuracy, version control, and regulatory alignment. · Collaborate with IT, operations, and legal teams to implement and validate system changes. · Conduct audits and reviews of loan files to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. · Create and improve policies and procedures to resolve compliance issues and mitigate potential risks. · Develop and maintain documentation for compliance procedures, testing protocols, and project plans. · Provide training and support to staff on compliance topics and system changes. · Monitor regulatory developments and communicate potential impacts to stakeholders. · Support internal and external audits, investor reviews, and regulatory examinations. · Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications: · Strong understanding of public policies, legislation, guidelines, and standards pertaining to the mortgage industry (a/k/a the Alphabet Soup of mortgage compliance and investor guidelines). · 3+ years of experience in mortgage compliance, preferably within a lending institution. · Advanced proficiency in Encompass, including admin-level configuration and document/disclosure management. · Project and change management experience with a track record of successful implementation. · Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. · Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment. · Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community · Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Sharepoint experience preferred, OneDrive, and Teams; experience with project management tools (e.g., Azure, Wrike, MS Project) is a plus. · Bachelor’s in Business, Finance, or related field preferred; compliance certification a plus (e.g., CRCM). Preferred Skills: · Experience with Encompass SDK or API integrations. · Familiarity with compliance reporting tools and dashboards. · Knowledge of quality control and risk management practices. · Experience in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and regression testing.
