The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and a passion for building resilient, scalable, cloud-based systems. Position Location: Remote, United States Reports To: Director, Software Engineering What We’re Looking For: Requirements: • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience • Strong proficiency with Elixir and OTP principles • Solid experience with PostgreSQL (schemas, queries, performance tuning, JSONB, indexing strategies) • Experience deploying and managing applications on AWS (EKS, S3, Aurora) • Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, testable code (TDD/BDD practices mandatory) • Experience working in Agile teams (code reviews, refinement, demos, CI/CD practices) • Good understanding of version control (Git/GitHub/GitLab) Additional skills: • Experience with Phoenix framework • Knowledge of observability tools (AppSignal, Datadog, etc.) Unleash your potential: What you will be doing and owning: • Designing and developing server-side features in Elixir/Phoenix backed by PostgreSQL • Deploying and managing cloud workloads in AWS with scalability and resilience in mind • Participating in architecture discussions and solving complex engineering challenges • Working on new and existing projects that power a point-of-sale geared towards convenience stores • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver value to our customers • Writing, reviewing, and improving code through peer reviews and unit/integration testing Interview Process: Interview #1: Video Screen with Talent Acquisition Team Interview #2: Video interview with the Hiring Manager (via MS Teams) Interview #3: Technical Video interview with the Team (via MS Teams) PAR is proud to provide equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
