Position Description: The Project Manager or Sr. Project Manager will lead cross-functional hardware and embedded software programs from concept through delivery—driving execution, communication, and alignment across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and vendor partners. This role is responsible for project planning, risk mitigation, schedule management, and ensuring high-quality, on-time product releases. The ideal candidate combines strong technical understanding with exceptional organizational and stakeholder-management skills. Position Location: Remote Reports To: Sr. Director of Product, Hardware What We’re Looking For: Proven experience managing complex hardware and embedded software projects from concept through delivery; minimum 5 years' experience required. Strong understanding of hardware development lifecycles and embedded systems (C/C++, RTOS, Linux). Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, QA, manufacturing, supply chain, and external vendors. Experience developing and tracking project schedules, risks, and dependencies across multiple workstreams. Ability to collaborate in fast-paced environments and influence without authority. Additional Skills: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Jira for project tracking and reporting. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including executive-level updates. Strong problem-solving and risk management capabilities. Ability to act as team SCRUM master ideal but not required. Experience with SOWs, contracts, and vendor oversight preferred. Understanding of regulatory, quality, and compliance requirements for hardware products. Unleash your potential: What you will be doing and owning: Drive end-to-end project execution for hardware platforms and embedded software components while ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery. Develop, maintain, and publish project plans, schedules, risk logs, dashboards, and resource allocations. Partner with engineering on design reviews, integration milestones, validation, and quality assurance processes. Manage vendor relationships and outsourced development activities, including SOW creation, milestone tracking, and acceptance criteria. Ensure regulatory and quality compliance for hardware, firmware, and integrated systems. Facilitate serviceability analysis and documentation to support long-term maintenance and lifecycle strategies. Champion continuous improvement across hardware-software integration and project management best practices. Support cross-functional communication and visibility, ensuring alignment between Product, Engineering, Operations, and Leadership.
