Channel Type: Political Comedy / Reaction Content Location: Remote (Worldwide) Employment Type: Freelance / Independent Contractor Compensation: $500/month base + 10% Shorts ad revenue share (about $150) About the Channel We run a fast-growing political comedy reaction channel focused on short-form content. The channel publishes high-frequency YouTube Shorts built around reactions to long-form videos and trending social media clips. This role is designed for someone who can own the Shorts pipeline end-to-end and understands how to create high-retention, clickable, culturally aware political content. Role Overview We are looking for an all-in-one YouTube Shorts freelancer to handle editing, packaging, and publishing Shorts content. You will be responsible for producing and posting a minimum of 6 Shorts per day (up to 10/day), with a strong focus on retention, titles, thumbnails, and SEO. This is a remote freelance role with clear expectations, predictable base pay, and upside through performance-based revenue share. Key Responsibilities • Edit YouTube Shorts from: • Long-form reaction videos • Social media clips and trending political content • Add captions, pacing, zooms, memes, and visual hooks optimized for Shorts • Create catchy thumbnails and high-CTR titles • Optimize descriptions, tags, and metadata for YouTube Shorts SEO • Upload and schedule Shorts consistently • Ensure content aligns with the channel’s political comedy tone and audience expectations • Meet daily output and quality standards without micromanagement Output Expectations • Minimum: 6 Shorts per day • Maximum: Up to 10 Shorts per day • Posting more than the minimum is encouraged but does not increase base pay Who We’re Looking For • Proven experience editing YouTube Shorts or TikTok-style content • Strong understanding of retention, hooks, pacing, and CTR • Comfortable working with political commentary and satire • Familiar with YouTube Studio, Shorts analytics, and SEO basics • Able to work independently and hit daily publishing targets • Politically aware enough to package content accurately for the audience (alignment matters) Compensation Base Pay • USD $500 per month, guaranteed • Covers production and publishing of 6–10 Shorts per day Revenue Share • 10% of net YouTube Shorts ad revenue generated by Shorts uploaded by you (about $150 based on last month metrics) • Calculated monthly based on finalized YouTube Studio / AdSense data • Revenue share is performance-based, variable, and not guaranteed Revenue share applies only to Shorts ad revenue It does not include long-form videos, sponsorships, memberships, Super Chats, affiliates, or other income sources. Legal & Freelance Terms By applying, you agree to the following: • Work-for-Hire & Ownership All scripts, edits, videos, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, metadata, and related materials are work-for-hire and become the exclusive property of the channel owner. • Independent Contractor You are an independent contractor, not an employee, and are responsible for all applicable taxes and legal obligations. • Revenue Share Calculation Revenue share is calculated monthly based on finalized YouTube Studio / AdSense analytics and may be subject to platform delays or adjustments. • No Partnership or Equity This role does not create a partnership, employment relationship, or ownership interest. • Termination Either party may terminate the agreement with reasonable notice if expectations or performance standards are not met. • Data Processing Consent By applying, you consent to processing of application data. Are you comfortable with part of your compensation being tied to channel performance? • This position requires producing and publishing multiple short videos per week using provided styles and templates. Are you able to consistently meet weekly output targets without close supervision? • Do you have prior experience with at least two of the following: video editing, thumbnails, or YouTube SEO? • Briefly describe your experience producing YouTube Shorts content or managing an end-to-end video workflow.
