Classification: Full-time Exempt Reports to: Director of Marketing About The Company Paleovalley and Wild Pastures were born from a simple but radical idea: real food can heal — people, animals, and the planet. When Paleovalley co-founders Autumn and Chas Smith saw how industrialized food was affecting human health and the health of the land, they refused to play along. Autumn’s own journey of healing through nutrient-dense foods lit a fire that became Paleovalley. From there, the mission grew roots, sprouted wings, and eventually expanded into Wild Pastures to bring regeneratively raised meats directly to families nationwide. Today, Paleovalley crafts deeply nourishing snacks and supplements made with organic ingredients and honorable sourcing. Wild Pastures connects small American farmers practicing regenerative agriculture with customers who believe better food is worth fighting for. Every product, every partnership, and every decision is guided by a commitment to real ingredients, regenerative practices, and the belief that health is built from the soil up. We’re a team of grounded doers, curious thinkers, bold builders, and warm humans who like to laugh while doing meaningful work. We're growing quickly, fueled by purpose and a shared desire to repair the food system one thoughtful choice at a time. If you feel energized by impact, drawn to mission, and ready to join a company rewriting the future of food, we’d love to meet you! About The Opportunity Paleovalley is searching for a Web Experience & Conversion Optimization Manager who lives at the intersection of digital strategy, user experience, and performance optimization. You’ll own our DTC web experience across Paleovalley and Wild Pastures, managing custom, non-Shopify ecommerce sites and landing pages to ensure they’re fast, intuitive, accessible, and conversion-ready. This role is built for someone who’s half marketer, half product owner, and fully obsessed with conversion. You understand how thoughtful digital experiences build trust, reduce friction, and help families choose real, nutrient-dense foods. As a curious experimenter and UX thinker, you love data, testing, and refining experiences — seeing each page, funnel, and PDP as a story waiting to convert. What You’ll Do Web Experience Ownership • Own and maintain all Paleovalley and Wild Pastures web properties, ensuring content is current, UX is seamless, and design reflects our brand and mission. • Manage and optimize our custom-built, non-Shopify ecommerce experience using proprietary tools and internal systems. • Maintain clear site architecture, intuitive navigation, and strong technical fundamentals (tag hygiene, performance, accessibility). Conversion Rate Optimization • Analyze behavior, funnel performance, and conversion data to identify friction points and high-impact improvements across landing pages, PDPs, carts, and checkout flows. • Design and execute A/B and multivariate tests with clear hypotheses, KPIs, and reporting. • Develop and refine landing pages and PDP enhancements using HTML/CSS/JavaScript and internal tools. • Support campaign testing across messaging, layout, offer positioning, and creative elements. Data, Tools & Insights • Use analytics and behavior tools (GA, Hotjar, heatmaps, session recordings, SEO platforms) to diagnose issues and prioritize tests. • Maintain accurate tracking and collaborate with dev, product, or data partners to measure CRO performance. • Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and leadership. Collaboration & Execution • Partner with marketing, design, development, and lifecycle teams to implement winning variations and new experiences. • Build and launch landing pages for promotions, launches, and demand-generation initiatives. • Help shape a digital experience that supports both rapid DTC growth and expanding retail presence. Innovation & Continuous Improvement • Stay current on CRO, personalization, DTC trends, and evolving search behaviors—including AI-driven discovery. • Use AI and no-code/low-code tools to accelerate workflows. • Bring fresh ideas, tools, and testing approaches that elevate performance and user experience. Competencies • Clear, thoughtful communication and the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations. • High ownership mindset — organized, proactive, and comfortable leading in a fast-moving environment. • Strong grasp of UX/UI principles and consumer psychology that drive conversion and trust. • Ability to balance strategy with hands-on execution in custom, non-template environments. • Comfort with analytics and experimentation tools, and skill interpreting behavioral data. • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript for collaboration and basic prototyping. Required Education And Experience • 5+ years of hands-on conversion rate optimization experience for DTC or ecommerce brands with proven performance wins. • Experience working in custom or proprietary ecommerce systems (not just Shopify or plugin-driven ecosystems). • Proven ability to analyze user behavior and funnels to identify issues and design high-impact tests. • Ability to wireframe and prototype experiments (Figma, Optimizely, VWO, Google Optimize or similar). • Comfortable with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; deeper development experience is a plus. • Strong analytical mindset and ability to make clear, evidence-based recommendations. • Excellent collaboration, project management, and written communication skills. Bonus Qualifications: • Mixpanel SME • A/B Testing • Working with heat maps (Mouse Flow, Crazy Eggs) • CRO tools • Percentage reporting • Works exclusively with custom sites • Laravel experience • Previous work with CPG brand that has multiple products (20+) with a decent amount of volume (50,000 orders/month) Our Commitment to You • Medical, dental, and vision coverage with 100% employer-paid dental/vision and a small monthly medical premium for employees; dependents may be added at employee cost • Generous Paid time off to support balance and rest • Paid sick time for when you need it • Six (6) paid holidays each year • Paid parental leave for growing families • 100% company-paid Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, and Life Insurance • 401(k) with up to a 4% company match after one year of service • Monthly product stipend or access to perfectly imperfect damaged product so you can enjoy the nutrient-dense foods you help bring to others Compliance & Employment Practices Paleovalley and Wild Pastures are proud to be equal opportunity employers.
