PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Act as a liaison between management and production control associates by directing daily operations per management’s directives within the production facility in all areas of the production control function. Shift: • 1st Shift : 7:00am to 4:15pm with possible over time depending on the department's needs. Pay/Compensation: • $19.50 to $21.00 per hour ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Assign duties to production control associates to complete the daily activities as assigned by management. • Ensure that all outgoing orders are assembled accurately and are packaged and labeled for Shipment with appropriate packing materials according to all customer requirements • Insure that all incoming shipments are properly processed and delivered to the appropriate addresses • Maintain inventory levels of shipping materials and supplies. • Oversee that all collecting and supplying activities are accurately performed. • Direct all activities within the confines of the Kanban system. • Fill in where needed during absences and vacations. • Create a safe working environment by enforcing all safety regulations and uniform guidelines. • Act as a communication link between management and production control associates. • Maintain clear communication between departments. • Monitor manufacturing and report any issues to management. • Oversee daily transportation of parts to and from TSI and respond to any discrepancies or shortages. • Kanban maintenance. • Rotation of safety stock. • Daily loading of the Level Production Posts. • Implement 5S activities daily. • Participate in kaizen activities. • Participate in quality group discussions and activities. • Any and all other tasks within the scope of the position as requested by management. • Any other activities as directed by management to support the Production Control Department. • Any other activities as directed by management to support PMO. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS • High school diploma or GED • Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical functions. • Quality and detail oriented. • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced team environment. • Ability to delegate and willingness to adhere to Group Leaders instructions. • Willingness to stay until the job is complete. • Excellent Communication Skills • Valid State Drivers License • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment. • Willingness to cooperate and work in a strong team environment. • Prefer leadership ability. • Prefer ability to operate forklift, hand truck, crane and other equipment required in the handling of materials in a manufacturing environment. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Ability to lift 32 pounds. • Ability to distinguish between colors. • Moderate physical effort is required to move containers. • Ability to walk, stand, and carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend at waist, and climb ladders and equipment. • Ability to operate in repetitive motions. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS • Inside conditions, not required to remain outside. • Exposed to heat at times during summer months. • Exposed to some processing oils and weld sparks. • Upper noise levels requiring hearing protections in some areas. • Safety glasses, steel toe shoes, and hat are required at all times. • Kevlar sleeves and gloves will be provided to prevent exposure of steel and weld sparks onto skin.
