Description The Student Outreach & Social Media Coordinator is part of a team responsible for implementing community service and bi-partisan political programming for the Center for Community Action and Research (CCAR). Student Outreach & Social Media Coordinators are responsible for being a public-facing staff member for the Center at community events and supporting CCAR's social media strategy. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist with planning CCAR events and service projects, as well as supervising student volunteers at events and service opportunities on- and off-campus. • Assist with creating print and digital materials for programs and initiatives. • Maintain CCAR PLV Social Media Accounts (X, Insta, TikTok). • Manage communications on university platforms including SetterSync and OrcaTV. • Update and maintain CCAR contact lists and communications. • Develop and maintain connections with student leaders and their organizations to promote events. and recruit volunteers/attendees and promote the CCAR and its mission. • Assist Student Projects Coordinator as needed. • Assist Volunteers as needed. • Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Support the Center for Community Action and Research in their work to connect the campus and the community for the benefit of both. • Proficiency with Instagram, X, TikTok and other social media platforms • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Canva preferred • Ability to create flyers and graphics for distribution • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet manner • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Reliable and patient with faculty and students • Office experience a plus • Ability to work independently • Interest in community service, civic engagement and/or voting is preferred but not required. • Enrolled Pace Undergraduate student • Work-study eligible preferred • Ability to work on campus (commuters are welcome) • Up to 10 hours per week in person
