About the Role: The Warehouse/Local Driver plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and timely transportation of goods within a designated local area, directly supporting the supply chain and distribution operations. This position involves not only driving but also managing warehouse activities such as loading, unloading, and organizing inventory to maintain smooth workflow. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations while delivering exceptional customer service during pickups and drop-offs. This role requires strong coordination between warehouse operations and delivery schedules to optimize route efficiency and meet delivery deadlines. Ultimately, the Warehouse/Local Driver contributes to the overall operational success by ensuring products are handled carefully and delivered accurately to their intended destinations. Minimum Qualifications: • Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle class being operated. • Clean driving record with no recent violations or accidents. • Ability to lift and carry heavy items safely, typically up to 50 pounds. • Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management. • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols. Preferred Qualifications: • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or equivalent certification. • Experience with route planning and GPS navigation systems. • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment. • Familiarity with warehouse management software or inventory tracking systems. • Customer service experience in a delivery or transportation role. Responsibilities: • Operate company vehicles to transport goods safely and efficiently within the local delivery area. • Load and unload merchandise, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly. • Coordinate with warehouse manager to plan delivery routes and schedules. • Ensure compliance with all transportation laws, safety regulations, and company policies. • Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries. • Assist with general warehouse duties as needed to support daily operations.
