The Product Manager for Digital Products & Business Development coordinates product roadmap, and functional and content development plans for OSV digital products, including OSV Church Manager, Online Giving, Websites and other digital products. The Product Manager for Digital Products leads cross-functional teams to coordinate market research, collect and evaluate customer feedback, maintains and reports on competitor offerings and features, makes recommendations and helps craft requirements for product enhancements. This includes but is not limited to work with the Technical Product Development Manager, other Product Managers and Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Marketing, IT/Development, Support Teams and the management team. This role works especially close with the Product Manager – Digital Products Part-time position to insure coverage of new and existing technical products and their respective revenue growth opportunities. In this role the incumbent serves as the expert on the product area and the primary resource for customers and partners. In addition, this leader will work closely with her/his supervisor to develop new business specifically as it relates to product development targeted at new audiences and/or new customer segments. With respect to Business Development, the areas of focus will be to act as the product management lead for products that can target new segment opportunities for future growth revenue streams for the company. This may not include all new product development assignments but would be focused on those that support customer segments that are important to the company to support. As a leader for business development, this role will assume customer-facing webinar activity on a monthly basis providing the webinar execution as needed in conjunction with the sales operations team. Essential Job Functions: * Develop an agreed- to roadmap document engaging appropriate stakeholders * Deliver Marketing Requirements Document (MRD)s and Product Requirements Document (PRD)s with prioritized features and corresponding justification * Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product * Make pricing recommendations to meet revenue and profitability goals and confirm with the financial team for final approvals * Attend customer panels as appropriate. Compile the input to make recommendations for the best next enhancements * Develop relationships with customers who can provide input on their satisfaction and on functional enhancements. * Monitor key competitors. Document key competitor functionality in comparison to OSV. Also note any key concerns. * Work with teams including developers, marketing and sales to maintain timely projects for enhancements to digital products * Perform product demos to customers as needed * Provide on-going support to training teams pertaining to new products and services. * Incumbent may be required to attend various trade shows and product/service-related conferences to acquire and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the markets and product offerings in the industry. * Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities * Lead the establishment of contracts and development of proposals * Deliver a monthly revenue forecast to the financial teams and/or others * Work with the marketing teams to develop sales tools and collateral * Propose an overall budget to ensure success * Act as a leader within the company Requirements: Experience: * An acumen for sales and marketing with at least 5 years of experience * Three years of proven leadership in product marketing or product management * Experience translating market information into requirements for development * Proven track record in the areas of working across functional teams. * Experience with software development preferred Education: * Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business or related field preferred. Skills and Abilities: * Must have strong interpersonal skills, good judgment and be capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals * Must have good organizational skills * Have excellent planning and tracking skills * Knowledge of OSV product line, preferred but not required Working Environment: * Incumbent will work in an office environment either in a remote home office or blended if the incumbent is local with occasional travel required. Travel will consist of trips with Sales and Customer Service Representatives to learn about the needs of customers and non-customers and the role OSV can play in meeting those needs with current and future products and services. Occasional attendance at conferences and trade shows of various types will be important for gathering and maintaining current market information. Supervisory Responsibilities: * None at this time.
