Description: The Project Manager / Estimator is responsible for estimating electrical construction projects and managing them through execution, combining technical estimating skills with project management duties such as field coordination, vendor communication, documentation, and financial oversight to ensure accurate, professional project delivery. Responsibilities/skills: Estimating Identify and evaluate bidding opportunities that align with company goals. Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare detailed estimates. Obtain and analyze material and equipment quotes from vendors. Develop clear and complete scope letters outlining inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications. Submit estimates accurately and on schedule. Project Management Organize project documentation for smooth handoff after award. Prepare and submit all startup documentation, permits, and kickoff materials. Lead project kickoff meetings and coordinate schedules, materials, and manpower with foremen. Oversee procurement of major equipment and subcontractors. Manage submittals, track project schedules, and communicate changes or delays promptly. Field and Financial Coordination Conduct site visits to monitor progress and address field needs. Provide timely documentation and support to field teams. Prepare monthly billings, change orders, and cost tracking reports. Review invoices for accuracy and approve project-related expenditures. Attend internal meetings and report on project status and financial performance Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical industry or a related degree in construction management. Skilled in using estimating and project management tools such as Accubid, Procore, and Bluebeam. Strong organizational and time management abilities with a focus on handling multiple projects simultaneously. Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams, clients, and field personnel. Solid understanding of electrical systems, construction practices, labor forecasting, and materials coordination. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
