This position offers significant opportunities for professional growth as our work continues to expand. What you will do: • Build strong, productive relationships with clients and project partners while providing technical expertise and ensuring successful project delivery. • Lead multiple concurrent datacenter projects of varying size, complexity, and phase, from early planning through completion. • Provide design management and technical direction for datacenter projects, guiding key decisions and maintaining alignment with client goals. • Oversee the delivery of greenfield, brownfield, and retrofit engineering and design projects through all phases, including site due diligence, land development, detailed design, permitting, construction administration, and turnover to Operations. • Coordinate internal client stakeholders and external consultants, including architects, engineers, and specialty vendors. • Manage internal and external resources to support building, power, cooling, telecom, and controls infrastructure in alignment with client capacity roadmaps. • Facilitate problem-solving and support the integration of new technologies, operational processes, and procedures. • Oversee datacenter design solutions across the Americas, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and quality. • Collaborate and cross-train with Otak team members to improve efficiency, quality, and project delivery. What you bring: • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. • 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in construction, technical, or design-related fields, including 3+ years in datacenter or mission-critical environments and/or Owner Representation. • Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) a plus. • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams in a fast-paced, dynamic setting and adapt quickly to shifting priorities. • Proven ability to lead engineering teams in advanced engineering and operational processes for large datacenter and critical-facility environments, while managing personnel, budgets, schedules, and complex project portfolios. • PMP and/or CMIT certification (or active pursuit); OSHA 10 Certification. • Experience with commercial and high-tech construction, including retrofits; familiarity with all phases of design and construction management. • Demonstrated success managing multiple design projects of varying complexity and stage. • Solid understanding of regulatory requirements, land-use processes for green-field construction/site, and contractual change management. • Advanced oral and effective written communication skills and experience in meeting facilitation and a growing competency in exercise facilitation (e.g., RACI and other project management tools). • Working knowledge of AI tools, SharePoint, Smartsheet, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and construction management software. • Proven experience managing projects in a virtual/remote environment, with willingness to travel as needed.
