Location Requirement: To be eligible for this role you must be located in Nevada. Position Summary: The SOC Analyst is responsible for analyzing and responding to cyber threats. The SOC Analyst will operate and tune security tools to perform cyber security services for client networks. The SOC Analyst will perform other maintenance & patching activities as assigned to support the cybersecurity posture of OSIbeyond’s clients. Key Responsibilities and Duties: Work and complete assigned tickets according to SOPs Monitor client environments for security threats Perform regularly scheduled vulnerability scanning and penetration testing and manage remediation of identified issues Analyze cloud environments, servers, workstations and other devices suspected to be compromised Provide high quality written and verbal customer service Accurately track and document all work Maintenance activities as assigned. Job Qualifications: Experience 3+ years of related experience including either system administration or cybersecurity Experience administering Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure and on-premise Microsoft platforms such as Microsoft Windows Server and Windows 10 Familiarity with log, event or security management platforms such as Logstash and Splunk Experience in working with help desk ticketing software such as Zendesk or Connectwise Education and Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field (required) Comptia Security+ (required) Comptia CySA+ or equivalent (strongly preferred) Other Skills Demonstrated ongoing professional interest in cybersecurity Ability to speak confidently and comfortably with clients and vendors as needed to see incidents through resolution Outstanding attention to detail Strong communicator, both written & verbal Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities Must possess a current and valid driver’s license Position: Location – Remote (Must be located in Nevada) Department – Technical Employment Type - Full-Time (After training period of 2-3 months (7am-3pm PST M-F) this position will be shifted to rotating schedule consisting of 12hr shifts 2pm-2am PST.) Compensation - $60,000-$70,000 Benefits: Medical Insurance - OSIbeyond pays 80% of the premium for the Employee's base medical plan Vision and Dental Insurance - OSIbeyond pays 80% of the premium for the Employee's plans Life Insurance - OSIbeyond pays 100% of the premium for the Employee's plans Short Term Disability Insurance - OSIbeyond pays 100% of the premium for the Employee's plans 401K - OSIbeyond matches up to 4% PTO/Holidays - 9 paid Holidays and accrual based PTO which increases with tenure, new hires start out with 2 weeks
