Hi, we're Oscar Medical Group. We're hiring a Lead Physician to join our Virtual Urgent Care team. At Oscar Medical Group, we are refactoring healthcare. To help us achieve that goal we are looking for innovative leaders who think big and push boundaries to refactor healthcare and the healthcare delivery system. About the role: You will be responsible for delivering quality care to patients as part of a multidisciplinary team of Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), Registered Nurses (RNs), and Medical Assistants (MAs) in a virtual environment. You will also oversee a team of APPs (NPs and PAs) delivering care to their patients and supporting them in Oscar strategic initiatives. You will report into the Medical Director, Virtual Urgent Care. Work Location: This is a remote / work-from-home role. You must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, or Washington D.C.. Note, this list of states is subject to change. #LI-Remote Pay Transparency: The base pay for this role is: $221,088 - $290,178 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, annual vacation grant of up to 18 days per year, and annual performance bonuses. Responsibilities: Provide direct high quality, safe patient care via telemedicine (video, phone, messaging) while working with a multidisciplinary team. Provide supervision to a group of APPs (NPs and PAs) who are delivering care in a virtual environment and provide professional & clinical growth. Be a clinical escalation point for the care delivery team as needed (APPs, RNs, MAs). Support development of clinical guidelines, continuous improvement of care model, and participate in collaborative projects with Operations and Product team members as a clinical leader. Conduct quality assurance audits in addition to required state supervisory audit requirements. Ensure a culture of patient safety Be accountable for the quality of care of your patients and ensure superior member experience. Conduct service recovery needs for Oscar patients. Provide growth and development of your team including management of poor performance. Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations Other duties as assigned Requirements: MD or DO from an ACGME accredited medical school Active Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine 5+ years of outpatient urgent care or emergency medicine experience 1+ year of experience leading a team of clinicians 1+ year of experience in telehealth Unrestricted license to practice medicine in at least 3 out of 6 of these states: TX, TN, FL, GA, OH, NJ Active IMLCC or eligible to apply Experience supervising APPs according to state regulatory requirements Bonus points: Spanish language fluency Experience being metric driven in a practice setting as it relates to population health management, quality benchmarks, cost of care, and productivity Six sigma or programmatic management experience This is an authentic Oscar Health job opportunity.
