Title of Position Logistics & Inventory Coordinator Location Blue Ash, Ohio Department Operations Reports To Operations Manager Overall Responsibility Plan and coordinate the supply and movement of inventory for all orthopaedic surgical cases performed in the greater Cincinnati, Dayton, Louisville, and Lexington areas. Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of required inventory to and from all hospitals. Manage and adjust inventory levels in order to achieve all territory service goals while also achieving corporate inventory goals. Manage transportation costs through an efficient and balanced use of overnight carriers, the company van, same-day couriers, and the sales force. Key Areas of Responsibility • Creates and executes a daily inventory plan and strategy to ensure that implants and instruments are delivered 100% on time and accurately for all surgical cases • Communicates daily with sales force to schedule and plan for upcoming surgeries • Stores, replenishes and retrieves inventory in preparation for surgical cases • Completes inventory transactions in the SAP ordering system • Tracks and adjusts consignment implant and instrument inventory according to changing demand patterns • Coordinates with Billing Specialist to ensure continuity between the inventory and billing processes • Transport medical inventory, via company cargo van, between local office and area hospitals and the surrounding region • Monitors and analyzes courier usage in order to minimize transportation costs • Forecasts future instrument needs on a quarterly basis • Plans and coordinates annual corporate inventory audits • Plans and coordinates inventory cycle count program to ensure a high level of inventory control and accuracy • Researches and resolves all inventory variances • Participates in corporate conference calls • Completes inventory management projects as needed Consults With • Distributor President • Operations Staff • Sales Representatives • Corporate Product Directors Employment Status • Full-Time • Salaried Starting Salary • $45,000-$50,000 Benefits • Health Insurance • Dental Insurance • Vision Insurance • Short- & Long-Term Disability • Life Insurance • 401(k) Plan • Paid Vacation Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time • Valid Driver’s License • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
