Job Opportunity: Patient Services Specialist At OrthoCarolina, our team is our greatest asset and the foundation of our success. We are currently searching for a Patient Services Specialist to work with our OrthoCarolina Concord team. The Patient Services Specialist greets patients, prepares forms, collects, verifies and enters patient information into EPIC necessary for the timely and accurate processing of patient claims. Essential Functions: • Prepares paperwork necessary for the patient visit. • Answers incoming phone calls and directs calls, makes appointments, performs cashier duties as directed including posting of charges. • Collection of co-payments/co-insurance and balances due. • Follows the process for release of medical information and FMLA/disability forms completion as requested. Skills and Abilities: • Excellent customer service skills. • Working knowledge of insurance. • Epic/EMR background a plus. • Medical terminology. Qualifications: • High school graduate and/or associate or bachelor's degree. • Prefer minimum of one year experience in medical clinic setting.
