This person will be extremely detail oriented when it comes to taking messages, giving information, and facility/systems upkeep. The right candidate will be excited about sharing what we do with prospective students who inquire about lessons. Typically the first few hours of work will be more interactive with students of the Academy while the final hour or so will be quieter and devoted to preparing the Academy for the next day's teaching as well as taking calls and emails. We're looking for someone who is willing to get their hands a little dirty from time to time and is eager to problem solve. Administrative team members need not have musical experience, though that can be a plus. Food and/or customer service experience is a major plus for the receptionist position due to the amount of people skills needed. Essential Functions: • Prepare teaching rooms daily • Meet with new and potential families for enrollment via in-person meetings, calls, texts, or emails. • Answer phones, take messages and greet incoming clients • Assist parents with appointment bookings, cancellations and other event scheduling • Weekly reports with updates about delegated tasks. • Manage incoming calls, emails and tasks with a great attitude! Job Qualifications: • Strong communication skills (verbal and written). • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. • Excellent ability to self-start and problem solve. • Excellent customer service skills. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to function well in a bustling music school. Days off will be Sunday and 1 weekday. • Occasional recitals and other events may occur on Sundays with overtime if applicable. Experience: • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred) • Food service: 1 year (Preferred) • Front desk: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: • Will work between both the Cedar Park and NW Austin locations.
