If you do not currently live in the Greater Boston / New England area and cannot attend concerts in person, please do not apply. This requirement is non-negotiable. Term Length: 3 years Time Commitment: Bi-monthly board meetings on Discord, plus content planning and on-site coverage during concerts Financial Commitment: No monetary minimum. Board members are encouraged to make an annual contribution at a personally meaningful level, if they are able. Overview The Co-Chair of Content Creation & Social Media Marketing plays a central role in shaping Orkest’s public voice and digital presence. This position works in tandem with the fellow Co-Chair to create engaging content, manage multi-platform social media activity, and ensure the organization’s story is communicated authentically, consistently, and creatively. This role supports Orkest’s mission by building community, expanding reach, and driving audience engagement across our digital platforms. Core Responsibilities • Content Strategy & Planning: Collaborate to develop a cohesive content calendar aligned with Orkest’s season, concerts, and community events. • Social Media Management: Oversee Orkest’s TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn accounts, including posting, scheduling, analytics tracking, and engagement. • On-Site Coverage: Attend Orkest concerts and events in person to capture photos and videos, collect behind-the-scenes moments, and support real-time marketing content. • Brand Consistency: Maintain a clear and unified visual and narrative style across platforms that reflects Orkest’s values and artistic identity. • Community Engagement: Interact with followers, respond to inquiries, and help cultivate an online environment that fosters connection, curiosity, and excitement around Orkest’s work. • Collaboration: Coordinate with the Executive Director, musicians, and designers to gather stories, insights, and assets for high-quality content. Board Member Fiscal Responsibilities All Orkest board members share three core fiscal responsibilities: • Duty of Care: Participate actively in board functions, stay informed, and help steward Orkest’s resources responsibly. • Duty of Loyalty: Uphold Orkest’s mission and prioritize its interests while serving in your board capacity. • Duty of Obedience: Ensure Orkest follows all laws, regulations, and organizational bylaws in pursuit of its mission. Qualifications: The ideal Co-Chair of Content Creation & Social Media Marketing: • Has an eye for visual storytelling and authentic digital communication • Is comfortable with photography/videography at live events (professional gear not required) • Understands current trends on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn • Is collaborative, timely, and excited about giving voice to Orkest’s work • Enjoys arts spaces and is enthusiastic about attending performances How To Apply: Email a letter of interest and your CV to sapphire.toth@gmail.com Apply by: December 31, 2025 About this Organization: The purpose of Orkest Inc.
