THE ROLE We are looking for an experienced and motivated Retail & Sales Operations Manager to join our growing team. The Retail & Sales Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day relationship with our primary retailer, Ulta Beauty, as well as supporting the launch and development of new retail partners. You will be responsible for budget planning and tracking, inventory and PO management, invoicing and collections, and sales reporting. You will lead all aspects of retail marketing, including visual merchandising, sampling, omni-channel activations and promotions, education and staff training, and operational processes. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, detail-oriented, passionate about beauty, and has previous experience working with Ulta Beauty. The Retail & Sales Operations Manager position will report to the Trade Marketing & Sales Director. RESPONSIBILITIES • Partner with the Trade Marketing & Sales Director to ensure effective management and relationship development of all wholesale accounts, execution of key initiatives, and alignment with overarching company goals • Own sales processes, standard operating procedures and compliance standards • Build, update, and actualize sales projections along with associated channel spends and budget management • Analyze sales performance metrics, including sell-through rates, inventory levels and promotional effectiveness, identifying areas for improvement • Audit and improve existing sales processes to minimize operational challenges and inefficiencies; build new processes to support company growth • Monitor and manage inventory levels consistently, including product returns, theft, damages and inventory adjustments; working closely with external demand planning agency to ensure consistent service levels and limited to no out of stock situations in retail accounts • Work closely with Finance to track sales, interpret data, and streamline reporting processes, inclusive of managing retailer marketing spends (pay to play placements, co-op, deductions, etc) • Oversee comprehensive order, invoicing and payment collection process from beginning to end, working within retailer EDI and following up when needed with key partners • Manage detailed retail marketing calendars and omni-channel Ulta activations and teams (stores presentation and promotion, sampling, social, dotcom presentation and promotion, email integration, education, loyalty, media, etc.); continually pushing for the strongest levels of brand support • Devise and execute engaging and budget-efficient merchandising, ensuring all necessary deliverables are communicated to retailers with precision and working closely with/overseeing external visual merchandising vendor Outform • Develop in-depth knowledge of products to train and educate Ulta Beauty store teams as well as working closely with/overseeing external store education agency Beauty Barrage in order to achieve sales and productivity goals at store level • Provide optimal customer service for retailers, vendors, and customers, acting as a representative of 'Ôrəbella • Prepare regular reports for Leadership, and communicate relevant sales information to the greater team • Help to launch new international accounts: source, sell-in, execute new retail partners • Handle account and sales management, strengthening retailer relationships and identifying new areas of business and growth opportunities; build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at Ulta Beauty and new accounts • Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback, regularly communicating findings to Leadership WHAT YOU BRING • Bachelor's degree preferred • 3+ years of Sales experience required • Beauty experience required • Previous experience working with Ulta required • Previous start-up experience at a consumer brand preferred • Self-motivated, able to work independently • Aptness to recognize issues, foresee challenges and troubleshoot accordingly • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Stellar analytical skills and attention-to-detail • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite • Based in LA preferred • West Coast hours availability necessary • Light travel required WHAT WE OFFER • Base salary: $75,000 - $90,000 annually • Unlimited PTO • Medical, Dental, Vision • Company gratis • Remote work environment • Creative, collaborative and nimble team • Room for ample growth and development
