Be part of something new and exciting. This position reports to the Billet Yard Coordinator and Billet Yard Supervisor. The main responsibility for this role is to operate crane to remove billets from the casting machine cooling bed, to charge Rolling Mill feed table and to move and load billets as directed in the main yard and G-bay as required by policies and procedures set forth. The Burner/Crane Operator will remove scrap billets from the cutting area to the scrap rail car or scrap pile as needed. Tools & Equipment : 20 ton crane with electromagnets, spreader beams, cables, slings, chains, cutting torch, broom, mop, computer terminal, man-lift, mobile crane, etc. Wages & Benefits Optimus Steel has a competitive benefit package. Experience working with cranes and other heavy equipment like Forklift and man-lift . The position Requires the use of simple writing, adding, subtracting, whole numbers, and the carry out of instructions: and the use of fixed gauges and direct reading instruments and devices in which interpretation is not required. Salary Description $30.46 per-hour
