Front Desk Coordinator/Receptionist Optical Expressions is an established, multi-location, full-scope private optometric practice located in the Phoenix/Scottsdale metro areas. Optical Expressions in the Biltmore neighborhood in central Phoenix, AZ is seeking an enthusiastic individual that is passionate about providing excellent customer service and patient care to fill an open position of Front Desk Coordinator. This individual would also cross-train to provide back up and assistance to the Optometric Technician. Job Summary: The Front Desk Coordinator is a critical member of the Optical Expressions team. This individual is responsible for welcoming our patients to the office and providing administrative support by managing incoming phone calls and coordinating timely scheduling of patient appointments. The overall expectation of the Front Desk Coordinator is to provide our patients with an exceptional customer service experience in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude and a smile. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Greet and welcome patients and customers to the office • Facilitate and schedule appointments for comprehensive eye exams, contact lens services and medical office visits • Check patients in and out/collecting payments • Manage incoming phone calls on a multi-line answering system • Manage appointment confirmations • Obtain insurance authorizations • Prepare patients to see the doctor by obtaining chief complaints, obtaining visual/ocular/medical histories and pre-testing patients (Pre-testing includes: visual acuities, auto-refraction, NCT and Optomap imaging) • Cross-train as necessary to provide ultimate team support Qualifications: • Highly motivated and driven to provide the highest standards of customer service • Strong communication skills with the ability to multitask and problem solve • Working knowledge of computers and ability to maintain data within an electronic health care system (Revolution EHR) • Prior experience in an optometric or medical practice is preferred, but training is available • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus We offer: • Vacation and holiday pay • Contribution towards group health insurance and optional dental plan enrollment • 401k benefits • Vision/eyewear benefits Job Type: Full-time Job Type: Full-time Benefits: • Employee discount • Health insurance • Paid time off Experience: • Office experience: 1 year (Required) • Customer service: 1 year (Required) Work Location: In person
