Manage engineering, quality, and process control activities at a manufacturing plant, including budget, technology, and safety compliance.
Requires experience in process control, management, and manufacturing, with a background in mechanical or industrial engineering, and PLC programming preferred.
Mission Coordinate all Engineering activities concerning program management, process support, maintenance support, MRO support, prototype, controls, and information systems. The incumbent monitors the quality, safety and efficiency of control systems, ensuring the quality of the product. In addition, this individual is resonsible for the establishment, implementation and maintenance of a quality system that meets the required standards. Responsibilities: • Set priorities for Engineering, Process, Maintenance and IS&S groups • Manage Departmental budgets • Manage InPro, InChange, InStand , and IMS • Search of new technologies/remain abreast of new developments • Understanding and perform capacity analysis for the plant • Provide linkage between Regional and Corporate offices, and other groups at the plant level • Manage Energy program • Ensure the effectiveness of BMM, Finishing/Assembly and utilities process controls • Ensure well-documented process control systems for effective process control, system maintenance and data acquisition • Coordinate all elements of the plants quality program including its development and administration • Establish strategic quality plans, policies, and procedures at all levels to ensure that quality system will meet internal and external Customer Specific Requirements and expectations • Develop and implement a department budget • Leads, manages and directs the Quality Department Staff Identifies quality training requirements Conduct performance reviews and direct reports Support customer concerns/complaints Support Quality Engineers with quality/supplier issues • Understanding of IATF requirements • Understanding of Customer specific requirements • Responsible for setting Quality objectives, including corrective and preventive actions, customer scorecards and customer portals Other Requirements: • Authority and responsibility to stop production and shipments when a quality or safety issue arises • Work requires walking, talking, seeing, hearing, sitting, climbing, bending, stooping, grasping, crouching, pushing, balancing, reaching, kneeling, and standing • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis Work requires working under high and low temperatures at certain times Candidate Background: • Mechanical or Industrial Engineering Degree or relevant experience • 3 years minimum molding experience and/or combination or experience + education • 3 years of experience applying process control • 3 years of Management experience • Ability to handle crisis situations plus regular workload • Experience with PLC programming (Siemens) would be preferred
