The Role We’re looking for a hands-on Growth Marketing Manager to own inbound growth at Openlayer, someone who thrives on turning content and search into measurable pipeline. You’ll build, test, and scale growth experiments across SEO, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO). You’ll identify high-value queries and optimize our web presence so Openlayer ranks not only on Google, but also inside AI-powered search experiences like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini. This role reports directly to the Head of Marketing. What You’ll Do Own the SEO and GEO strategy, conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and link outreach to drive compounding organic traffic. Map high-intent product queries to optimized pages, ensuring technical accuracy and conversion readiness. Audit and monitor how Openlayer appears in AI-generated answers across LLMs; identify citation gaps and build placements in trusted sources. Create and execute the founder-led content calendar, interview founders weekly, ghostwrite and publish posts across LinkedIn and the Openlayer blog for maximum reach and engagement. Lead content refresh and expansion cycles, providing clear, tactical recommendations for updates, new pages, and outreach targets. Partner with design and product to continually test and improve conversion funnels, using A/B testing, analytics, and heatmaps to drive signups and demo requests. Track key inbound metrics, traffic growth, authority gains, engagement rates, and conversion lift, and report insights to leadership. Who You Are 6+ years of experience in growth, SEO, or content marketing at a SaaS or B2B tech company (AI or developer tools a plus). Deep expertise in hands-on SEO execution (keyword research, on-page optimization, link building, technical audits). Curious about Generative Engine Optimization (GEO/AEO) and how content surfaces in LLMs, search copilots, and AI-driven recommendations. Excellent writer and storyteller, able to turn technical topics into clear, engaging narratives for executives and engineers alike. Comfortable working cross-functionally and iterating fast in a startup environment. Data-driven mindset with working knowledge of HubSpot, GA4, Sanity (CMS), PostHog, and/or similar tools. What Success Looks Like 3-5x growth in qualified organic traffic within 6-12 months. Consistent, high-quality founder posts that drive engagement and demo interest. Openlayer content consistently appearing in AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini). Improved site conversion rates across key landing pages.
