Removing Barriers to Healthcare Access Remote- California Open Door Community Health Centers (ODCHC) is developing its business intelligence capacity through expanded data gathering, creating links and interfaces among multiple data sources, using new and existing data more efficiently, and analyzing data and reports more thoroughly. The Business Intelligence Analyst I is responsible for providing data management; report design and production; development and maintenance of dashboards; analysis of systems to improve the efficiency of reporting; and provide support and training in report contents and use for diverse corporate stakeholders. The Analyst participates in evaluating new technologies to ensure the advancement of data solution architecture as well as data quality and security within the organization. Compensation Range: $28.20-$32.91 All new hires will begin at the base wage of this position. Hmong and Spanish speakers who successfully pass a language exam will receive an additional .75 hourly differential to their wage. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: These essential responsibilities are performed within the context of collaboration and coordination within ODCHC’s Business Intelligence Department and across multiple ODCHC departments and clinics. Act as a primary liaison between stakeholders and Business Intelligence developers. Assist in translating business requirements into technical specifications. Track and documented changes for functional and business specifications. Understand document data flow, systems, and interdepartmental processes. Understand clinical workflows, patient charts, and other electronic health records. Work with cross-functional stakeholders to align teams around project definitions. Maintain a library of data and reporting documentation, the content of which includes: a data dictionary of all tables used in reports; a report catalog; data standards; BI processes and procedures for the vetting, specification, development, testing, and distribution of data reports. Review library and use existing reports when appropriate to answer data requests. Other related duties as identified and assigned by supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish constructive professional working relationships among a diverse workforce. Working knowledge of Business Intelligence and reporting tools. Ability to work as a member of a team and independently as needed. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively represent ODCHC’s interests in the community and maintain effective working relationships among coworkers, public, private, and professional groups. Strong computer skills with specific aptitude and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and/or Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Adhere to ODCHC’s policies and procedures. EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE: Degree in Computer Science, Health Information Management (HIM), or equivalent years of experience. Minimum of 1 year experience in healthcare related Business Intelligence. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This is a non-supervisory position. SUPERVISION AND SUPPORT: The Business Intelligence Analyst reports to the Director of Business Intelligence who will oversee the daily activities of this position. The Analysts receives requests for data and reports from multiple ODCHC departments. The Director of Business Intelligence and the Information Technologies Department will provide training and support in maintaining and modifying external and internal data bases, security and distribution methods.
