Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company, and we're looking to hire an AWS and MongoDB Technical Architect for a leading industry company. Our client fosters a collaborative environment focused on innovative enterprise solutions. This is a remote, on-going contract. Must work EST hours. The AWS and MongoDB Technical Architect role involves supporting multiple large-scale programs within our healthcare ecosystem, primarily focusing on designing resilient, scalable cloud-native solutions and optimizing complex data architectures. This position is a temporary opportunity supporting several enterprise initiatives, including modernization projects, digital member engagement platforms, AI-driven contact center capabilities, and service workflow platforms. The role requires deep hands-on expertise in cloud architecture, data modeling, and integration, with a focus on delivering secure, high-performance solutions aligned with enterprise standards. The application deadline for this role is 12/18/2025 AWS and MongoDB Technical Architect Responsibilities: • Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end cloud solutions on AWS, ensuring systems are reliable, scalable, and secure. • Serve as the expert for MongoDB, guiding data modeling, schema design, indexing, and performance tuning to optimize operational efficiency. • Integrate AWS services with existing on-premises and cloud environments, supporting event-driven and API-based architectures. • Collaborate with stakeholders, including product owners, analysts, and engineers, to refine requirements and develop comprehensive architectural diagrams and diagrams. • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, contribute to the development of new patterns, and facilitate cross-domain collaboration. AWS and MongoDB Technical Architect Qualifications: • Extensive hands-on experience designing, migrating, and deploying solutions within AWS using services such as Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB, RDS, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, and CloudWatch. • Proven track record with MongoDB, including schema design, indexing, replication, sharding, and performance optimization. • Deep understanding of distributed systems, handling concurrency, race conditions, and message-based communications. • Strong proficiency in Java, JavaScript/Node.js, and RESTful API design. • Effective communicator with demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across technical and business teams, particularly within Agile or SAFe environments.
