Civil Engineering Project Manager – Transportation 📍 Location: Melville, NY, United States 💰 Salary: $80,000 – $150,000 per year 🕓 Job Type: Full-Time | On-site About the Role We are seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager to join our Transportation Department in Melville, New York. This position offers the opportunity to lead a variety of challenging municipal infrastructure projects, including roadway design, traffic systems, stormwater management, waterfront structures, lighting, and recreational facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in civil engineering design and project management, with a passion for delivering high-quality public infrastructure solutions. Key Responsibilities · Lead and manage civil engineering projects for municipal transportation and infrastructure clients. · Prepare design, permit, construction, and bid documents for assigned projects. · Perform quantity take-offs and develop construction cost estimates. · Conduct technical analyses for transportation, traffic, and infrastructure studies. · Oversee coordination with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies. · Manage, train, and mentor junior engineering staff to ensure project quality and efficiency. · Handle project billing, collections, and financial reporting. · Utilize AutoCAD / Civil3D and Microsoft Office Suite effectively for documentation and design. Required Skills & Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred). · 5–10 years of relevant project management experience in transportation or municipal infrastructure. · Proficiency in AutoCAD / Civil3D design software. · Strong knowledge of roadway design, stormwater systems, and municipal standards. · Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills. · Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. · Valid driver’s license required. · U.S. work authorization (no visa sponsorship available).
