The Grants and Office Specialist will work collaboratively with the Executive Director, VP of Programs, and the Director of Marketing and Communications to drive grant acquisition and management, as well as support administrative activities. This role will support the expansion of our organizations’ efforts and core team. The Grants and Office Specialist is a highly motivated, task oriented self starter. Flexibility will be key as this role continues to develop alongside the organization’s growth and impact. This position is open to candidates anywhere in the state of Washington, and limited travel may be required. Candidates located in North Central Washington are preferred. To Apply: Please email resume and cover letter to Luke Wall at Luke@only7seconds.com Grants and Office Specialist Responsibilities: The Grants and Office Specialist (GOS) is a contract position and is not an O7S employee position. The GOS is responsible for supporting the acquisition of new grants and foundations funding through grant applications, supporting grant reporting, and supporting relationships with key stakeholders. In addition to this, the GOS will support administrative and operational activities to ensure higher efficiency of our team. Key Responsibilities Office Administration and Operational Support • Coordinate meetings and events • Manage calendars and schedules • Maintain files and records • Handle external correspondence • Provide general administrative support to staff, primarily the Executive Director • Prepare communications and updates for the Executive Director • Support collection of content for the organization • Support events and tabling as needed • Support office management, including inventory and merchandise. • Assist Executive Director, Director of Marketing and Communications and Program staff with special projects as needed. Grant Acquisition • Identify and research potential funding sources • Implement and streamline grants process • Assist and/or lead grant applications • Record and track grant milestones and deadlines • Monitor grant expenditures and compliance • Prepare necessary reporting for grant compliance We are looking for someone who is: • An Enabler: You provide support and assistance to others, ensuring projects move forward and tasks are completed. • Tenacious: You push projects and tasks to completion, ensuring desired results are achieved. Grants and Office Specialist Nice to Haves: • Bi-Lingual in Spanish and English • Experience as an executive assistant or administrative support • Experience in partnership development • Experience in youth engagement, community engagement, and public relations • Experience working with Gen-Z and Gen Alpha • Focuses on and attends to details with the ability to respond to changing needs as presented. Location: Hybrid; Candidate ideally is located in North Central Washington, but must be located in Washington state and willing to occasionally travel within the Pacific Northwest. Contractor Compensation: Contract for this half-time (20 hours per week on average) position is competitive and commensurate with experience. $23-$24.5 per hour. Opportunity to increase hours as opportunity and demand increase. Opportunity to achieve additional compensation with successful acquisition of grants.
