Our technology powers global experiences for Formula 1, the United Nations, LIV Golf, Apple, leading banking/legal clients, and the world's largest music festivals. Opportunity Overview We're hiring a hands-on Warehouse Repair & Diagnostics Technician to own bench repair, device refurbishment, IP/network checks, and functionality testing on returned equipment-so every kit leaving our NJ depot is field-ready. Your key responsibilities would include the following; • Bench Repair & Refurbishment (Primary) • Diagnostics, IP & QA • Configuration & Imaging • Inventory Systems & Documentation • Process, Safety & Housekeeping • Cross-Team Support Job Responsibilities • Partner with Warehouse Leads and Operations on kit builds and turnarounds. • Assist with shipping/receiving during peaks; verify kits meet outbound QC standards. • Follow ESD best practices and safe handling; maintain a clean, organized bench. • Identify recurring faults and propose preventative fixes, checklists, or SOP tweaks. • Log repairs, parts used, and test results in inventory/ERP (Lightning intellievent). • Create clear bench notes, RMA justifications, and "NFF" (no fault found) documentation; track first-pass yield and repeat-return rates. • Stage iPads/iPhones using Apple Configurator 2 (supervision, profiles) and MDM enrollment (Jamf/ABM or similar-nice to have). • Load, verify, and label device bundles per PLs; ensure accessories and consumables are complete. • Run IP checks on returned equipment: verify DHCP/static settings, confirm hostname/MAC labeling, document IP schemes, and reset to deployment standards. • Execute full functionality tests (print quality, Wi-Fi throughput, scan/label tests, peripheral pairing, port checks) and complete pass/fail records. • Update firmware/drivers; apply standard images and profiles; ensure versions meet SOP requirements. • Diagnose and repair iPads/iPhones (iPadOS/iOS), including battery health checks, screen/port replacements (where applicable), OS restores, and Apple Configurator workflows. • Service and calibrate event printers, including Zebra ZD620 / ZD621 (media/ribbon calibration, printhead checks, firmware/driver updates, ZPL basics) and Epson ColorWorks C3500 (maintenance box/ink, driver profiles, test patterns). • Perform light repair on networking gear (power supplies, antennas) and configure routers/APs/switches for event kits. Requirements • 2+ years hands-on bench repair/diagnostics in IT hardware, printers, or mobile devices (event-tech/logistics a plus). • Working knowledge of Zebra ZD620/ZD621 utilities (media/ribbon calibration, sensor settings, ZDesigner/firmware) and Epson ColorWorks C3500 maintenance. • Comfortable with IP basics (DHCP vs static, gateway/DNS, VLAN awareness), and network tools (ping, traceroute, Wi-Fi analyzers). • Proficient with iOS/iPadOS restores, Apple Configurator 2, and driver installation on Windows/macOS. • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and attention to detail; thrives on closing loops and preventing repeat failures. • Familiarity with inventory/ERP systems (Lightning/MCS/Salesforce) preferred. • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended bench sessions. • Certifications (nice to have): CompTIA A+ / Network+, Apple tech credentials, Zebra/Epson training.
