JOB SUMMARY Job Profile Summary The Director of Talent Management at ONEOK is a pivotal senior leadership role reporting to the Vice President of Performance Excellence. This position serves as a key strategic advisor and HR leader. This position develops and implements talent management strategies that align with ONEOK's objectives and workforce needs. It drives organizational performance by integrating goal-setting frameworks and ensuring alignment across teams. The Direct Talent Management will lead performance appraisals, coaching programs, and succession planning to build a strong talent pipeline. Director Talent Management will collaborate with HR and leadership to design initiatives that foster employee growth, leadership excellence, and a high-performance culture. This position also uses data and best practices to enhance performance management processes and will measure program effectiveness, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights to drive innovation and support ONEOK's long-term growth. Essential Functions and Responsibilities • Develop and implement a talent management strategy aligned with organizational goals, ensuring consistency, compliance, and competitive positioning through market research. • Drive strategic planning and goal setting across teams, tracking performance metrics and conducting reviews to enhance employee performance and ensure alignment with business objectives. • Oversee the performance appraisal cycle, support managers with tools and feedback mechanisms, and collaborate with L&D and HRBPs to drive employee development and manage transitions. • Develop processes to address performance-related issues, providing coaching and interventions for underperforming employees while ensuring compliance with organizational policies. • Design leadership development and succession planning programs, identify high-potential talent, and collaborate with L&D to align employee growth with organizational needs. • Implement coaching and mentoring programs by assessing needs, training coaches, and evaluating program effectiveness to support employee development goals. • Develop metrics to measure the effectiveness of talent management programs, analyze data for trends, and provide insights to senior leadership for continuous improvement. • Lead with alignment to our vision, values, and strategy to foster collaboration, drive innovation, and accelerate impactful change. • Establish trust with executive and senior leadership within the business by: • Strong understanding of the business and aligning HR support with its strategy and goals. • Adapting to various leadership styles and quickly building trust to effectively partner in achieving business outcomes. • Scaling HR solutions delivery through strong collaboration within the regional business partnership team. • Envision cultural and performance outcomes aligned with the business strategy and develop a practical plan to achieve them. • Lead a comprehensive organizational communication approach that creates a shared responsibility and partnership with the business as the services are being delivered. • Leverage relevant HR knowledge and expertise to assess business challenges and collaborate on solutions that drive positive outcomes, aligning with our HR strategy and applying our HR operating model to build a cohesive, customer-centric HR organization. Education • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required. • Master's Degree preferred. Work Experience • 10 plus years of experience in talent management, performance management, or related HR roles, with 5 plus years in a leadership capacity • Experience of designing and implementing comprehensive talent and performance management strategies that align with business goals • Experience with coaching, mentoring, and developing high-potential talent and future leaders • Experience in managing performance issues and navigating complex situations while ensuring fairness and compliance Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Knowledge of talent management principles, performance management processes, and leadership development. • Knowledge and expertise in strategic planning, goal setting (OKRs), and driving employee performance across the organization. • Knowledge in data analysis, reporting, and ROI analysis to measure the impact of talent management initiatives. • Skills in excellent communication, coaching, and mentoring skills, with the ability to engage and develop employees at all levels. • Strong understanding of succession planning, employee development, and retention strategies. • Ability to manage complex performance issues and ensure compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements. • Ability to build a strong team by delegating effectively and developing a strategy for service delivery across all organizational levels. • Ability to build trust by collaborating with COEs to develop the right solutions and provide ongoing guidance and feedback throughout the delivery process. • Ability to collaborate with senior leadership, HR business partners, and functional teams to drive performance improvement Licenses and Certifications • Professional certifications such as SHRM-SCP, PHR, or related credentials are highly desirable.
