At least 5 years of commercial lines insurance client service experience, possession or attainment of North Carolina Property & Casualty and Life and Health licenses, familiarity with emergency service organizations, and residency in Western North Carolina.
This is a remote position located in Western North Carolina. Applicants must be located in Western North Carolina. VFIS of North Carolina is the leading provider of insurance for non-profit emergency service organizations, including volunteer fire departments (firefighters), ambulance and rescue squads (paramedics & EMTs) in the state of North Carolina. We're seeking a talented Account Executive to develop and promote the sale and use of all VFIS products and services through independent agents and on a direct basis to achieve premium growth, profitability and market penetration objectives in the “Western Region” of North Carolina. Promotes and maintains goodwill between VFIS of North Carolina and key emergency service organizations in an assigned territory. Your Impact: • Perform activities that lead to sales and account retention within territory through agents, or on a direct basis. Independently obtain leads through possible sourcing opportunities, working closely with VFISNC brokers and partners to identify and sell new business opportunities. • Target and obtain appointments with potential clients to assess their individual needs and demonstrate how VFIS/One80 products and services can meet or exceed these needs. • Develop close working relationships with key agents/brokers. Maintain relationships with clients and brokers by providing support, information and guidance to retain their business and write new business. • Research and recommend account development opportunities for existing clients. Identify and communicate to VFISNC management industry trends, regional marketing activities, and competitor activity. • Maintain a high level of visibility and communication with emergency service organizations by participating in key ESO conventions or meetings on a state and regional level. Successful Candidates Will Have: • At least 5 years of client service experience in commercial lines insurance. • Must have and maintain or attain within three (3) months North Carolina Property & Casualty and Life and Health licenses. • Familiarity with emergency service organizations and desire to maintain active interest in the industry’s activities is strongly preferred. Should possess strong ego drive and demonstrate empathy toward the concerns of agents and emergency service organization members. • Occasional travel throughout Western North Carolina will be required.
