DIRECTOR OF PERFORMANCE AND QUALITY IMPROVEMENT JOB IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION Department: Strategic Operations JOB SUMMARY Lead a collaborative effort to devise, install and continually update performance and quality improvement systems. This position is responsible for overseeing the process of organizing and coordinating all PQI activities, including the coordination of the PQI plan, the development of outcome and performance measures and their incorporation into an integrated model, the consolidation of review of outcomes at all levels, including management outcomes, client outcomes, and measures of program and service delivery effectiveness. This position will ensure the agency's systems comply with the Council on Accreditation (COA) standards for Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI) and will lead the process of preparing PQI documentation required for accreditation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS • Develop, oversee, and maintain all PQI initiatives, models, practices, and related materials for One More Child. • Develop and implement the One More Child's PQI Plan. Lead the COA accreditation process for One More Child. • Design and develop PQI procedure, protocols and documentation for all programs and support functions. • Coordinate the PQI Plan, which defines overarching long-term and short-term PQI goals, including those that are active at any given time, and assigns responsibility for different elements and tasks required by the PQI plan. • Develop, maintain, and distribute the PQI Manual, which will include PQI policies, procedures, protocols, and PQI related documentation forms. • Implementation of an annual evaluation of the PQI program. • Establish and oversee systems to produce outcome reports for all programs. Analyze performance/outcomes data and charts against defined parameters, benchmarks, and contract requirements. • Oversee and maintain Executive Staff Monthly Dashboard Report and disseminate to appropriate departments and staff. • Uses valid and reliable data collection methods to measure outputs, outcomes, and progress toward performance targets. • Support writing grants and donor proposals, by providing metrics and forecasting impact, in conjunction with executive leadership and Development staff. • Facilitates the surveying of agency stakeholders to determine satisfaction with services. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES • N/A REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's degree required PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS • Experience with continuous quality improvement, research, data entry and analysis preferred, but not required. COMPENTENCIES • Present oneself, both at and outside of work, in a manner keeping with One More Child's Core Values of Humble, Hungry, Wise, and Called. • Working knowledge of various databases as well as advanced knowledge of Excel. • Ability to work with personnel in all departments. • Ability to delegate and share responsibilities with other personnel as the situation requires. • Ability to take overall responsibility for the development and administration of a creative and comprehensive PQI plan. • Ability to interpret large amounts of data, summarize into reports, and analyze to determine mission alignment and agency performance. • Sensibility to the cultural differences that exist among the organization's service population/staff. • Knowledge or willingness to learn the multiple database software programs to maximize service programs at OMC. • Work with Executive Vice President in effecting long range planning for OMC. • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats. • Have the necessary expertise to lead our staff and ministry in how our story can best be communicated to our churches, community groups, and businesses.
