Marketing/PR Coordinator Job Description Summary The Marketing/PR Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing and executing marketing and public relations strategies to promote the organization’s brand, services, and public image. This includes supporting the development and distribution of marketing materials, managing media relationships, and executing events or promotional activities. Key Responsibilities · Assist in the creation and execution of marketing campaigns, including email, digital, and print initiatives. · Coordinate content creation for various channels (website, blog, social media, newsletters). · Manage and update the organization’s website and social media profiles. o Schedule and post content across platforms to engage target audiences o Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely, professional manner. · Monitor and analyze marketing campaign performance, providing reports and insights. · Support the development and distribution of marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, and presentations. · Coordinate with graphic designers, photographers, printing companies, and other vendors to produce marketing collateral. · Conduct research to analyze competitive landscape, market trends and customer behavior. · Assist in writing press releases, media kits, and other communications for external distribution. · Monitor media coverage and track mentions of the company across various platforms. · Help organize and execute special events, conferences, tradeshows, meetings, press conferences, interviews, and media tours. · Assist with crisis communications and manage public perceptions when necessary. · Assist in managing the marketing/PR budget and handle invoicing and vendor contracts. · Provide support for team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and strategy discussions. · Track project timelines and ensure all marketing/PR efforts are on schedule. Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field. · Minimum 1-2 years of experience in marketing, public relations, or a related field. · Experience with social media platforms, content management systems (CMS), and email marketing tools. · Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content and deliver clear messaging. · Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. · Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Familiar with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Hootsuite, etc.). · Ability to travel occasionally for events, conferences, etc. · Ability to work flexible hours, as needed, to accommodate events or deadlines. · Experience with design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) a plus. · Knowledge of media relations and event planning preferred.
